‘The Queen’s Gambit’: Netflix miniseries wins two 2021 Golden Globe statuettes

The Golden Globe 2021 opened the awards season of the year and ‘O Gambito da Rainha,’ one of Netflix’s most acclaimed productions, did well at the ceremony and brought two statuettes home.

The work won the award for best mini-series, anthology or film for television, while Anya Taylor-Joy received the award for best actress in a miniseries, anthology or film. for television for her performance as Beth Harmon.

The series is based on the novel of the same name by Walter Trevis, released in 1983.

What to do when all that’s left is victory? “O Gambito da Rainha” depicts the rise of a young chess prodigy from orphanage to glory. But genius comes at a price.
