‘The resident’: [SPOILER] leaves the cast of the series after 4 seasons

In the most recent episode of season four of “The Resident”, titled Into the Unknown, we say goodbye to the character of Dr Mina Okafor, who left Chastain Park Memorial Hospital to return to Nigeria.

It was the farewell of actress Shaunette Renée Wilson, who has officially left the cast of the series.

“After careful consideration, I approached the producers some time ago to ask them to quit the show and they agreed – and they created an incredible farewell for my character,” the actress said in a statement. “I am very grateful to have played this incredible character. I want to thank the studio, broadcaster, cast, crew, and most of all, our dedicated fans for supporting the series over the past four seasons.

The next episode, titled After the Storm, will air on April 27.

The series was created by Amy Holden Jones, Hayley Schore and Roshan Sethi.

The plot revolves around Dr Devon Pravesh (Dayal), an idealistic young doctor who begins his first day under the supervision of a bright and austere senior resident, revealing the good and bad of modern medicine. Lives may or may not be saved, but expectations will always be shattered.
