‘The Suicide Squad’ Could Make $ 70 Million In Opening Weekend

According to Deadline, “The Suicide Squad” could make at least $ 70 million in its first weekend.

Projections indicate that the film is expected to gross US $ 30 million in the United States alone, which will include approximately 4,000 theaters open for release.

In 2016, the previous film had a worldwide opening of $ 133.6 million and ended the runtime with $ 746.8 million.

Considering the pandemic and the low number of operating rooms around the planet, it is unlikely that James Gunn’s film could surpass David Ayer’s feature film mark.

However, if ‘The Suicide Squad’ manages to hit the $ 70 million planned for the first three days, that would be cause for celebration.

Still, the concurrent debut in the HBO Max catalog can be a challenge for the adaptation’s box office.

Recalling that the film is already showing in national theaters and previewing tomorrow in the United States.

As expert reviewers have made it clear, first impressions are overwhelmingly positive.

Enjoy watching:

Among the comments, reporters say that the feature film directed by James Gunn manages to mix in the right measure scenes of action, violence, humor, and even contains sentimental moments.

As expected, there was also plenty of praise for Margot Robbie, who delivers her best performance as Harley Quinn since joining DCEU, according to the Fandango reviewer.

Idris Elba (Bloodspot), David Dastmackhian (Polka Dot Man) and John Cena (Peacemaker) also gained notoriety for their performances.

Apparently the movie is so good that it looks nothing like the previous one and will make you want to watch it again as soon as you leave the shoot.

Check out the reactions:

“‘The Suicide Squad’ is absolutely insane. Violent as hell, daring and relentless. James Gunn is totally at ease. Sometimes it’s overwhelming, but in the movie it’s sentimental moments, there are humor, action, emotion… All that, shit, there’s nothing like it.

#TheSuicideSquad is absolutely crazy. Violent as hell, scorching, ruthless.

James Gunn is completely unleashed. Sometimes it is overwhelming. There are moments of heart, humor, action, emotion… all of that. Tirelessly.

“I had the best time of my life watching ‘The Suicide Squad’ – it’s kind of a comic book that doesn’t skimp on the hype and I love it. It’s big, bold and visually stunning. You’ll see James Gunn’s horror roots spread far and wide. It’s violent, but it’s also hilarious. Heavy, but also VERY delicate.

“Idris Elba’s Bloodsport and David Dastmalchian’s Polka-Dot Man are the big highlights for me (Bloodsport has the coolest guns, by the way). I also thought it was Margot Robbie doing her best in Harley Quinn. His journey in this film is really charming… And quite bloody!

“‘The Suicide Squad’ is bloody, explosive and perfectly captures the chaos and violence of the source material. The cast is excellent and you never get bored. Unexpected and fun, one of the best in DC Comics.

“So this skeptic here loved ‘The Suicide Squad.’ It’s fun in so many ways. If you’re wondering if James Gunn and this amazing cast managed to live up to the source material and top ratings… yes they can.

“Everyone’s amazingly fun, but Margot’s Harley and Daniela Melchior’s Ratcatcher 2 are my favorite characters. Idris Elba and John Cena’s games are in 3rd place, not to mention the rock soundtrack.

“I recently watched ‘The Suicide Squad’ which was a sickening experience because I took full advantage of the major rating which offers the biggest bucket of madness in any James Gunn movie I have ever had.” seen. He was the best choice to order a movie from The Suicide Squad.

I recently got to see #TheSuicideSquad on @IMAX which was a bad experience. @JamesGunn took full advantage of that hard R, delivering the great evil of MADNESS which is the most James Gunn movie I have ever seen. Best choice for @SuicideSquadWB movie, IMO. pic.twitter.com/LTsApE2lnK

“‘The Suicide Squad’ is as funny, irreverent and violent as it promises. What I liked most, however, was its sentimental side. [James] Gunn really balances the comedic and the serious in a way that the two complement each other very well. I jumped head first. Ahhh, and the King Shark erupts.
