‘The Suicide Squad’: Storm Reid opens up about her work with Idris Elba

So far, nothing has been revealed about the role of Storm Reid (‘Euphoria’) in ‘The Suicide Squad’, but fans believe she must be playing Bloodsport’s daughter (Idris Elba).

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the star revealed her character’s name and further increased speculation about the villain’s relationship by praising Elba’s work.

“I don’t know who I’m playing. Her name is Tyla, that’s all I can say. I don’t want to create any problems, but I am very excited about what I saw. It is very hot, so the public will be surprised.

She continued:

“I’ve worked with Idris Elba and he’s amazing, he’s the nicest person to work with, but he’s also very focused. It’s as crazy as it can get in and out [do personagem]. He is a very serious actor, but in between, he is very nice. He looked like two different people and I was like, “What an amazing guy.” So he definitely kept me on tiptoe, but we had a lot of fun.

So, do you think the stars will be father and daughter in the adaptation?

Despite expectations, some fans are still worried that the film will be a fiasco like the first.

Upon the release of “ Suicide Squad ” (2016), director David Ayer revealed that his original vision had been altered by executives at Warner Bros., causing the film to fail.

But it looks like that won’t happen with director James Gunn’s ‘The Suicide Squad’ (‘Guardians of the Galaxy’).

Responding to a question from a fan on Twitter, the filmmaker revealed that the film is already over and guaranteed that the studio did not use their creativity to compose the story.

To which Gunn replied:

“’The Suicide Squad’ is completely finished and edited, and I made all the choices because they didn’t intervene in the slightest. They gave very little feedback – it was generally good and minor and I analyzed whether or not it was helpful. The people at Warner were incredibly creative. “

As recently announced, Warner Bros. has decided to release the adaptation on HBO Max and in theaters on August 6.

Some names were to reprise their previous roles, such as Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang) and Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag).

Newcomers include Idris Elba, Taika Waititi, Alice Braga and Michael Rooker, Nathan Fillion, Pete Davidson, Flula Borg, Sean Gunn and Mayling Ng.
