‘True Blood’ to reboot with ‘Riverdale’ creator

WarnerMedia’s premium cable channel HBO has given the green light for a reboot of “True Blood.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the project is in the early stages of development and will be led by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, of “Riverdale” and “Sabrina’s Dark World”.

Alan Ball, the creator of the original series, is also on board as executive producer.

Aired in Brazil by HBO on Sundays and on Open TV, the series had 7 seasons aired between 2008 and 2014.

“True Blood” showed the coexistence of vampires and humans in “Bon Temps”, a small fictional town located in Louisiana.

Recently, actor Ryan Kwanten was in Brazil and said whether or not he would return for a revival of True Blood, a production in which he brought the character of Jason Stackhouse to life.

“If you did True Blood after ten years?” Yes, when HBO calls I should be a braver actor to say no, ”said the Australian.

So, with the series wrapping up a decade, viewers can expect a meeting and who knows, the announcement of an eighth season (rebirth)? Who wouldn’t want to see Sookie (Anna Paquin), Eric (Alexander Skarsgård), Bill (Stephen Moyer), Jason, among others, back?
