‘WandaVision’: Teyonah Parris studied ‘Captain Marvel’ young Monica Rambeau to star in series

To prepare for the role of Monica Rambeau in the ‘WandaVision’ series, actress Teyonah Parris delved into her research, looking for essential details and references that could be part of her character construction.

And in an interview with Variety magazine, she revealed that she had also studied the young Monica Rambeau from the movie “ Captain Marvel ”, in order to find nuances in the characterization of the character that could be part of her version:

“When I started doing my work with the character, I definitely went to the comics and I’m still looking for who she was in the comics. And I also watched Akira Akbar’s performance in Captain Marvel and what she brought. Obviously as a child when you grow up you change – you can be totally different from what you were as a child. But I believe that there are elements of the days when we were children that stay with us. And not just that, but the relationships we have with those in our lives. So, I think about the relationship she had with her mother, Maria Rambeau [ou] Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel… how have these relationships influenced you? “

The next episode will be released on January 29.
