[ANTES DE COMEÇAR A MATÉRIA, FIQUE CIENTE QUE ELA ESTÁ RECHEADA DE SPOILERS]
If you haven’t seen the latest episode of WandaVision, then don’t read this article unless you don’t mind receiving spoilers.
The last episode of WandaVision was fantastic in a lot of ways, mainly in being able to solve the main storylines, but also in giving the first directions the MCU will take from here on out. In this episode, we had many important explanations to give consistency to this production, allowing it to support itself. However, other questions have remained open and should be addressed again in other productions, whether at Disney + or in theaters. With that in mind, CinePOP has separated the main issues. Check!
What did Wanda release by accepting her powers?
Moments before defeating Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) with the runes, Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) hears from the witch that accepting the powers of the scarlet witch would unleash something terrible and that the young witch would need her to solve it. . Could she just bluff to try to avoid defeat and possible death? Clear. After all, she was the villain of the plot. But as someone who has worn Darkhold before, Agatha has an above-average knowledge of magic, which makes us wonder: was she really bluffing? Otherwise, what would this terrible thing be? The Scarlet Witch herself or some other entity?
Where did Visão go?
After a mental duel, the emotion convinced reason that its logic would not make sense without a goal, a “soul”. Thus, Visão (Paul Bettany) recreated by Wanda accesses the memories of his body in vibranium, transforming it into much more than a “simple” supercomputer. After reactivating his experiences and memories, Visão Branco goes again from machine to symptomoid and takes a little shock of reality. I think a point to explore in the future is how long will the memories of this new Vision last – do they end with his death in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) or Hex’s Vision has it? he implanted some of his experiences in Westview ?. In addition, he runs away after discussing his past life. Where did he go? The upside is that we have a good chance of seeing him again.
Has the DNA of the people of Westview been rewritten?
Another important point that has not been clarified is the people of Westview. As previously reported, the heavy exposure to Hex rewrote Monica Rambeau’s (Teyonah Parris) DNA, transforming her body into pure energy, which gave her her Photon powers. Its genome has been remade in a superior way, and the energy of Chaos caused this mutation in it. So, if this was the effect on a person who spent a few days in isolation in Wanda, what will be the “sequel” caused by Hex on the locals who have been trapped inside during that time? There is a theory that Wanda is the source of the mutant gene in the MCU. Will be?
Who else is Skrull in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
The episode’s first post-credits scene showed us an FBI agent summoning Monica to a meeting and revealing himself to be a Skrull to say that Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) wants Photon at ESPADA headquarters, ending by the new superheroine giving a small smile. Okay, this is a teaser of what we’re going to see in the upcoming Disney + Secret Invasion series, but it also left me wondering: who else is Skrull in the MCU? We’ve seen Nick Fury, Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) and now this agent. All in high positions of power. But do we already have Skrulls in superhero disguise, for example?
Wanda or Scarlet Witch?
The final post-credit scene shows Wanda isolated in a mountain hut, living peacefully with her hot chocolate in her hands, while the scarlet witch was inside, wearing the Darkhold, studying the astral plane. We also heard the voices of Billy and Tommy, which were deleted by Hex. This is a clear reference to the upcoming Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) film, which will take a journey through the multiverse. However, the big question of this scene is, is Wanda only using the astral plane for restless study or are we seeing a split personality? If they confirm that it is the second option, then who controls the body of the young woman? Wanda or the Scarlet Witch? In any case, she will not have a peaceful future.
All nine episodes of WandaVision are available on Disney +.
