“ Wonder Woman 1984 ” hits theaters nationwide on December 17, but expert reviews have already checked out the sequel and the first impressions are overwhelmingly positive.
Among the comments, reporters say the feature film directed by Patty Jenkins has action from start to finish and a sentimental touch packed by the Hans Zimmer soundtrack.
As expected, there is no shortage of praise for the chemistry between Gal Gadot and Chris Pine, voices of Diana Prince and Steve Trevor. And it looks like Pedro Pascal and Kristen Wiig are stealing the show as villains as well.
Additionally, the plot makes a great connection with the previous film and manages to make audiences cry and smile.
One of the critics was even touched by saying that:
“The plot is uplifting, hopeful and provides everything we needed.”

“I’m so happy to report that ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ is an absolute blast from start to finish. An exceptional compliment to the first film, and it is filled with emotion, hope, love, action, romance and humor. Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot delivered one of DC’s best sequels. I cried when it was over.
“I can’t say much about the plot because of the spoilers, but it’s very clever. The opening sequence alone is impressive, and each action scene is different and unique. I also think this is one of Hans Zimmer’s best soundtracks… And, for those wondering, the chemistry between Gal Gadot and Chris Pine is amazing.

“I had the chance to watch ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ earlier! I loved the first movie and can say that the sequel takes everything to another level! Pedro Pascal and Kristen Wiig have completely broken up like Maxwell Lord and Cheetah. Let Patty Jenkins take charge of the entire DCEU!

“Yesterday I watched ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ at home! It was everything I needed and more. The film is extremely ambitious, incredibly exciting, and full of hope. The movie is really long, sometimes too long, but it reminded me of how a big box office hit can make you feel wonderful.

“I’ve watched ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ before! Patty Jenks literally made an 80s-style movie in every way, which makes it unique today. It seems more ambitious than the original and at the same time more content. Gal Gadot simply delivers epic moments like Wonder Woman. “
I saw # WonderWoman1984! @PattyJenks literally made an ’80s movie all over the place which makes it so unique for today. It looks both bigger than WWI while being more contained.
Lots of Diana Prince and epic Wonder Woman moments as @GalGadot literally flies away! pic.twitter.com/QluelKwYly

“For me, Pedro Pascal and Kristen Wiig are the highlights of the film. Pascal dived headlong into the character in a savage portrayal of Max Lord, a conflicting but very evil villain. The evolution of the Leopard Woman throughout the film is heartbreaking, yet epic. We need more! “
