‘Wonder Woman 1984’ passes ‘Justice League’, receives lowest DCEU score on IMDb

“Wonder Woman 1984″ continues to polarize opinions on the internet, and it seems people who dislike the film are crowding in to show their displeasure with the production.

The film became the lowest-rated DCEU production on IMDb after overtaking both “ Suicide Squad ” and “ Justice League ” as the franchise film on the platform designed for users to vote.

As determined by reviews from IMDb, which publishes weighted average votes rather than raw data averages, “Wonder Woman 1984” ranks last in the nine-movie universe with a score of 5.7 out of more. of 65,000 votes.

On IMDb, the debut “Wonder Woman” is DCEU’s highest rated film, with 7.4 out of over 549,000 votes. The second is “Man of Steel” (7.0, 686,000 votes), followed by “Shazam! (7.0, 250,000 votes) and “Aquaman” (6.9, 365,000 votes).

Additionally, the sequel directed by Patty Jenkins received a “ B + ” rating on CinemaScore, the same rating received for films considered to be a failure, such as “ Suicide Squad ” and “ Justice League, ” both from Warner Bros. in partnership with DC Comics.

The film has grossed $ 85 million worldwide so far, having aired in China and other overseas territories last weekend.

In the United States, the film grossed $ 16.7 million over the extended weekend – the BIGGEST premiere in the country since theaters reopened after the COVID pandemic. The film was released in 2,100 theaters in the United States and got a good opening on the big screens.

In Brazil, the film grossed 8.7million reais in its first weekend, becoming the biggest release after theaters reopened in Brazil.

In all, 494 thousand people went to see the film on the big screen of theaters.

Brazil won the film’s fourth box office in the world, behind only China, Taiwan and Thailand, even with just 70% of the free-show market in the country. This reaffirms the strength of Brazilian productions and DC fans in the country, adding to several recent box office records with films such as “Joker”, “Aquaman” and “Justice League”.

Following the announcement of the opening, Warner confirmed that the third film in the franchise is in development.
