According to Deadline, “ Wonder Woman 1984 ” surprised the U.S. box office, raising $ 16.7 million over the extended weekend – the BIGGEST first in the country since theaters reopened after the COVID pandemic.
The film was released in 2,100 theaters in the United States, and although it was available to stream HBO Max, it had a good opening on the big screens.

Gal Gadot returns as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman and Patty Jenkins returns to write and direct the film.
