The sequel “Wonder Woman 1984” won a hilariously honest trailer.
Recently, Warner Bros. gave the green light to the third film in the franchise, confirming the return of actress Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins.
However, the new sequel may be the last film in the saga.
In a new interview for the Variety podcast, actress Gal Gadot opened up about work on the film, saying she expects it to end in “a nice ending.”
“You want to see a third movie, I want to see a third movie too, have a ‘nice ending’ for the franchise,” he said.
Gal Gadot returns as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman and Patty Jenkins returns to write and direct the film.
“As fans around the world continue to embark on Diana Prince’s adventure, with the powerful opening of ‘Wonder Woman 1984’, we are thrilled to be able to continue her story with our real Wonder Women – Gal and Patty – who will return to complete the long-planned film trilogy, ”Toby Emmerich, chief of Warner Bros., said in an official statement.
“Wonder Woman 1984” already totals 133 million US dollars worldwide.
