“Noisy as his aspirations may be, three episodes of ‘Young Rock’ have left no clue of who Johnson is – just what he wants. Maybe it can be your vote someday, but right now it’s your attention, and it can be hard to feel it deserves it ”. – Daniel D’Addario, Variety
“’Young Rock’ isn’t very funny at first, but it seems like the laughs get bigger as we get to know the characters. – Alan Sepinwall, Rolling Stone
“[Stacey] Leilua is quite magnetic to watch here, and while everyone at Young Rock is perfectly chosen, her role, to say the least, is the most compelling surprise. – Bob Strauss, Chronicle of San Francisco
