‘Young Rock’, the new NBC series that revolves around the childhood and youth of iconic Dwayne Johnson, premiered last Tuesday (16) and has already garnered 88% approval on Rotten Tomatoes.
The production of a biographical character has received critical acclaim from specialist critics for its representative and charismatic cast, in addition to being viewed as fun, engaging and identifiable.
For audiences, “Young Rock” was an even bigger hit, garnering 93% approval in the review aggregator.

“Young Rock” focuses on different chapters in Dwayne Johnson’s life. From growing up in a strong, resilient family, to being surrounded by the wild characters of its pro wrestling community, to football at the University of Miami, the series will explore the crazy roller coaster that made Dwayne the man he was. he is today, still with the great characters he has met along the way.
Joseph Lee Anderson, Stacey Leilua, Adrian Groulx, Bradley Constant, Uli Latukefu, Ana Tuisila, Fasitua Amosa and John Tui also round out the series.
“Young Rock” is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
Nahnatchka Khan (‘Fresh Off the Boat’) signs the script for the series, in addition to assuming the role of executive producer, alongside Johnson, Jeff Chiang, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, Brian Gewirtz and Jennifer Carreras.
