“Young Rock,” NBC’s new series that revolves around the childhood and youth of iconic Dwayne Johnson, has won a new promo video.
In the material in question, the star shares some unexpected personal stories that have inspired her next series, which opens this Tuesday, February 16.

“Young Rock” focuses on different chapters in Dwayne Johnson’s life. From growing up in a strong, resilient family, to being surrounded by the wild characters of its pro wrestling community, to football at the University of Miami, the series will explore the crazy roller coaster that made Dwayne the man he was. he is today, still with the great characters he has met along the way.
Joseph Lee Anderson, Stacey Leilua, Adrian Groulx, Bradley Constant, Uli Latukefu, Ana Tuisila, Fasitua Amosa and John Tui also round out the series.
“Young Rock” is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
Nahnatchka Khan (‘Fresh Off the Boat‘) signs the script for the series, in addition to assuming the role of executive producer, alongside Johnson, Jeff Chiang, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, Brian Gewirtz and Jennifer Carreras.
